This is a growing BETA of the next gen of .acidlog - it'll start of as the basics and slowly grow.
OFFICE 2007 BETA: Now i'll know.

Now downloading the Office 2007 beta. I'm getting:
  • Pro Plus 2007
  • Outlook 2007
  • Groove 2007
  • OneNote 2007
The files are .isos so i'll have to burn the files to CD.

I thought the new Office suite sucked. Let's see if there will be a change of paradigm for me...

THE GRANDEST PIANO

I AM THE FIRST STUDENT TO HAVE PLAYED A PIECE ON THE SCHOOL'S NEW GRAND PIANO - WHICH ISN'T REALLY NEW (IT WAS PREVIOUSLY FROM THE HILTON). BUT LOOK AT THIS! THIS GRAND PIANO IS A MAJOR ADVANCEMENT IN THE SCHOOL'S FACILITIES! IT IS THE COOLEST PIANO I'VE EVER SEEN! AND I GOT TO PLAY 'TO ZANARKAND' ON IT!! YES! BUT THAT WAS ONLY THE SECOND SONG EVER PLAYED ON THE NEW PIANO (MS. MAGI WAS THE FIRST PIANIST TO PLAY ON IT) - YES! THE SECOND SONG THAT WAS DONE BY THE FIRST STUDENT TO USE THE PIANO WAS 'TO ZANARKAND'! WHAT AN EXCELLENT SONG TO PLAY ON A GRAND PIANO BEING THE FIRST STUDENT TO PLAY ON THE GRAND PIANO! IN FACT, I HAVE PHOTOS! (BTW, NURAZLIN WAS THE SECOND!)

HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Cineleisure: Grand Opening

The new Cineleisure at the Curve, Mutiara Damansara opened last night, attracting a very large crowd. Why? Because they were giving away FREE TICKETS!

Yes, free tickets - but old and limited new movies which were already sold out. In the end we chose to watch a thai horror movie called "Long Khong". Free internet near the place you had to wait to enter the halls and then we entered hall 8 - these halls were different from the rest, with steps going downwards and the seats at level with you as you walked down instead of the halls in GSC or TGV where you have to walk accross then up the stairs. The popcorn we had was the worst.

The movie started. One sentence. I will never watch something like that ever again.
It was the scariest movie I'd ever watched. Popcorn was all over me by the end of the movie. I was covering my eyes through the worst bits. But the sound - which was pretty good - stayed. It was a long and bloody movie. And that is all.

Definitely on the yearbook day?

Who'd ever hear of that? But it's happening, and it's tommorrow.
The aim - bring as much stuff as possible in tommorrow so that the class page for the yearbook at the end of the year won't be as rushed! What a good idea!!!

Anyway, I recently read an article on global warming on worldchanging.com - and I think .acidlog should have a cause - Prevention of the end of the world. It's true and i'm being serious - it will happen both the new "cause" for .acidlog and Global Warming - the latter doesn't have to, though, if we prevent it.

Quoting from Datuk Seri. Dr. Lim Keng Yaik: "YOu can, actually...not use energy like there's no tommorrow!"

It has been a year...

.acidlog is now currently more than one year old! Starting from rulefour.blogdrive.com, it was switched to a new domain name - acidlog.blogdrive.com!

I forgot it's first birthday! A celebratory image:

.acidlog (formerly Rulefour)'s first banner was uploaded and met the internet on:
Tuesday, 29th March, 2005 - 05:52:59 PST

This banner may be found at
imageshack

And, more importantly, according to records on blogdrive and my confirmation email, this blog account was signed up on:
Dec 8, 2004 10:05 PM (local time)

All that history...

New goals, new features for .acidlog.

Now that i've finished learning 'To Zanarkand' for the piano and have recorded it on video and uploaded it to my new place on youtube.com - "To Zanarakand".
It's actually gotten pretty popular - but no comments yet...

Anyway, on to my next song - I really want to learn 'Fantasie Impromptu', but don't want to commit too much time to the piano at the moment. The next song does not exist yet - because i'm going to compose it. Logically, I wouldn't need extreme musical genius to be able to compose a song on the piano, would I?

By the way - i've been trying to set up myself an apache server and maybe have a copy of it setup one day on the always on school servers (let's hope nobody notices).
Then, I can host a Movable Type, Nucleus or the now too-popular Wordpress publishing platform. Then, i'll find a way to be able to update it via phone (photos, text, videos and voice) and IRC (chat logs). And many other things are to come in the build 9 of .acidlog - the biggest development yet.

In the meantime, you can wait and read the many entries to come before the next generation of .acidlog!

Yahoo's kicking up Mail!

The best mail client I have ever used, Yahoo Mail - which is better than Gmail in my opinion, is heating up Yahoo Mail - second addresses, excellent new interfaces - both the current and the beta, of course - it's excellent protection from bad stuff and the whole "all-in-one" thing - done in a way that doesn't stuff it up. The ads are placed in a place that would never bother me! I thank Yahoo Mail for serving my mailing needs, you're the best, Yahoo!

And most of all - the new Beta ROCKS! (Except for the big banner!!!)

Anyway, another thing that's kicking up is the Half Yearly tests. It's been moved to a ridiculous new date: next week - Thursday. HOW ARE WE MEANT TO PREPARE IN ONLY ONE WEEK AND THE TIMETABLES GIVEN OUT NEXT TUESDAY??!

Our teachers and their sick minds...
